It is just as well that I was not the judge in the matter as I would have taken the position that the boilerplate was subject to copyright, but that the association of it with an individual would make the document a personal letter.
There are lots of boilerplate documents available covered by various forms of IP protection ... but none of them come with a list of people to send them (the documents) to.

Good points, Bill. I think I can say that I agree with your logic on this one!
